Celebrating a Festive Season 


Keeler Women’s Center volunteers share holiday cheer at their annual Christmas party.

The Mount sisters celebrated Advent, Christmas, and the new year with lots of festive gatherings, and our employees, volunteers, and friends joined in the fun! 

In anticipation of Advent, sisters gathered in St. Lucy Chapel on Friday evening, November 28, 2025, to practice Advent songs. This joyful occasion concluded with a pie fest, featuring more than 15 pies made by the sisters. 

On December 5, 2025, Keeler Women’s Center (KWC) held its volunteer Christmas party at the Wyandotte County Historical Museum in Bonner Springs, Kansas. The event was planned by Sisters Bridget Dickason, Maria Nguyen, and Oanh Pham, along with the KWC Advisory Board. Approximately 75 volunteers attended, along with a number of the sisters who provide programs and other assistance at KWC. 


Dooley Center employee Deb Seager was presented with a door prize by Sister Molly Brockwell at the Mount’s annual employee Christmas party.

The Mount treated employees of the monastery and Dooley Center to a Christmas dinner on December 17, 2025. Sister Molly Brockwell organized the event, and Sisters Alberta Hermann and Loretta McGuire were the main cooks for the meal. Door prizes made by various sisters were distributed, and the sisters blessed the employees at the end of the meal. 

On the fifth day of Christmas, monks from the Abbey led a songfest in the Dooley Center living area and brought cookies to share with the sisters.

On New Year’s Eve, Sister Jennifer Halling took the sisters on a walk down memory lane with highlights from each month of 2025. After supper, sisters enjoyed a New Year’s Eve party in Dooley Center.
