The Feast of Saint Luke

St. Luke, author of the Gospel of Luke and Acts of the Apostles, beautifully portrays the compassion of Christ. A physician and companion of St. Paul, Luke dedicated his life to spreading the Good News, emphasizing God’s mercy, the role of women, and the joy of discipleship. Tradition holds he was also an artist, painting icons of Mary. He is the patron saint of physicians, artists, and writers. Through his writings, Luke continues to guide us into the heart of God’s love and healing. May we, too, share the message of mercy with joy and creativity.
