Shucking Corn

For many of us sisters, sweet corn season is one of the best times of the year. Every summer, we gather to shuck the fresh-picked corn from the garden, catching up with one another as we work side by side.

It’s a tradition that’s been part of life at the Mount for years. With the help of many sisters, the corn is ready to enjoy by our noon meal.
