Reflections

Growth, Light, and the Spirit of Pentecost

Nature is in full bloom, and this external flourishing mirrors a call to tend our inner garden. Spiritually, this can be a time to ask, what parts of me are blossoming?

The longer days and abundance of sunlight as we begin the month of June is a natural time to reflect on the themes of growth and light and the Spirit of Pentecost working in us. It’s a time to nurture our inner growth as well as the seeds we’ve planted in our gardens.

Nature is in full bloom, and this external flourishing mirrors a call to tend our inner garden. Spiritually, this can be a time to ask, what parts of me are blossoming? Where have I grown since the start of the year? These are not questions of achievement, but of awareness—of noticing where the Spirit has moved gently or powerfully in our lives.

This month calls for gratitude. There’s so much beauty around us and inside of us.

This month calls for gratitude. There’s so much beauty around us and inside of us. Let June be a month of noticing. Whether through stillness or movement, alone or in community, may we be aware of the sacred in ordinary life and give thanks.

I hope that wherever you are, your spirit finds space to breathe, expand, and connect more deeply with God and with others. Know that this is our prayer for you. We will be busy welcoming groups over the next couple of months, but we have times when we will be able to welcome you for a private retreat. And our calendar of all fall offerings will be on the web very soon, so watch and plan to come see us this autumn.
