Advent Retreats @ Keeler Women’s Center

On Tuesday, December 2, 2024, Keeler Women’s Center hosted the Spanish Advent Retreat “Recargando el Corazon.” Provided participants an opportunity to recharge their hearts to receive the message of Christmas.

Participants mainly followed Psalm 51, Tolteca’s spirituality “Los Cuatro Acuerdos” by Don Miguel Ruiz and the Dilexit Nos.

Part of the activity was to place cellphones and chargers in the Advent Wreath and a special prayer was shared by retreat leader, S. Elena Mack, SCL.

On Thursday, December 5, 2024, Keeler Women’s Center hosted the English Advent Retreat “Advent Hope with the Psalms.” Participants visited Psalms 25, 126, 80, and through the lens of the prophet Isaiah. S. Susan Barber, OSB, and S. Helga Leija led the group through art activities, music, and Lectio.

All participants received a copy of the Advent and Christmas Daily Reflexions by Jessie Bazan in English and Spanish.
