Volunteer Spotlight: Connie & Bob Anderson
Connie Anderson, Mount St. Scholastica Oblate and her husband Bob Anderson have been long time Keeler Women’s Center volunteers. Together, they have tutored many Easy English students.
Bob
Bob has worked with several refugees and immigrant students, most recently a group of men from Turkey. Thursdays, he tutors a group of Mexican native women who are completing level four of our Easy English curriculum.
Connie
Connie’s experience working with special education students, allows her to work with those who are illiterate in their native language. Despite not speaking Spanish, Connie has succeeded teaching our introductory level and level one students.
As retired educators they have helped women who needed extra help with their GED exam preparations with reading and writing. Bob and Connie are also volunteers of their parish and Mount St. Scholastica.
