Sister Marcia Ziska, OSB
Sister Marcia has ministered in various capacities over the years. She received a masters in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University and a professional certificate in spiritual gerontology from the Johnson Institute. She is a retired hospital chaplain and served the community in pastoral care and vocation and formation work. She coordinated a Rome renewal program for eight summers, networking with English-speaking Benedictines world- wide.
Currently, she is vocation director, provides spiritual direction, and is associate director of Sophia Spirituality Center and a member of the leadership team for Souljourners, the spiritual direction training program.
When time permits, she enjoys making jelly for both the community and the gift shop, along with lemon meringue pie and lemon curd. She also snaps photos for Instagram posts and makes photo cards.
