Praying with the Mystics: Experiencing Quiet Prayer, a 6-week Lenten series (Zoom)
February 14, 21, 28, March 6, 13, 20, 2024 | Wednesdays 2:00-3:30 p.m. CST/CDT
facilitated by S. Therese Elias, OSB
This series assumes that participants have had a basic introduction to a contemplative prayer form (quiet meditation, Centering Prayer) and have engaged in at least a beginning practice.
The mystics wrote of their experience of prayer in response to a call from God, leaving us a powerful legacy of mystical writings to support us on our journey to God. This 6-week series features the teachings of the Christian mystics and guided practice in Quiet Prayer. You are encouraged to enter this series with the intention of attending all sessions, as each will build upon the other. However, if you have a conflict that does not allow you to attend all sessions, we still invite you to register and attend as much as your schedule allows.
Please register by February 9. Once we have received your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available; if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at firstname.lastname@example.org. We strongly encourage you to add email@example.com to your email contacts to ensure the delivery of emails regarding your retreat.
