Today, we honor Saint Matthias, the apostle chosen to replace Judas Iscariot after his betrayal of Jesus. Though his story is brief in the Bible, Saint Matthias reminds us that every journey has purpose, and every person has a role to play in a larger story. Chosen through prayer and discernment, Matthias’s life teaches us about faith, perseverance, and the importance of trusting in God’s plan.
His story is a reminder that sometimes our paths are not always clear, and we may not always understand our purpose in the moment. However, like Matthias, we are all called to be faithful and ready to answer when our moment comes.
