The Feast of Saint Josaphat

St. Josaphat worked tirelessly for unity among Christians. Born in what is now Ukraine, he became a monk, then an archbishop devoted to reconciliation between the Eastern and Western Churches. His faith cost him his life, but his legacy lives on in every effort toward peace and understanding within the Church. St. Josaphat reminds us that unity begins with charity — not uniformity, but the love that bridges difference. Today, we pray for that same spirit of peace and for courage to build bridges where the world prefers walls.
