Shamrocks and Shenanigans: A Celebration of Irish Customs and Rituals

Everyone is familiar with the Irish shamrock. But are you as familiar with other customs and rituals that have been used throughout Ireland over the years? Come learn about some of the less known rituals and customs associated with various saints, changes in seasons, and religious feast days from this glorious land.

Sr. Suzanne Fitzmaurice
Sister Suzanne has served as campus minister at Notre Dame de Sion High School, then taught at Cristo Rey High School, Kansas City, before joining Keeler Women’s Center as associate director. In addition, she has ministered as the IT and hospitality coordinator at Sophia Spirituality Center, computer IT support specialist at the monastery and as the Monastic Congregation of St. Scholastica webmaster. After studying for a year in County Cork, Ireland, she graduated from the University College of Cork in March 2024 with a master’s degree in Beginnings of Irish Christianity. She currently is the director of monastic temporalities.
