Living Harmoniously: Exploring Benedictine Spirituality Through Music and Poetry

Living Harmoniously: Exploring Benedictine Spirituality Through Music and Poetry
December 2 @ 7:00 pm – December 3 @ 3:30 pm CST

Are you looking for the perfect retreat to begin the Advent season? This is it.
In today’s fast-paced culture, it is not uncommon to feel stressed, overworked, isolated, and unbalanced. Benedictine spirituality offers a different way. The Rule of St. Benedict, which guides the sisters of Mount St. Scholastica and all Benedictine communities, invites a life of harmonious living within ourselves, with one another, and with the earth. In this retreat we will explore some of the foundations of Benedictine spirituality through the elements of music and poetry: rhythm, silence, melody, and harmony. This experiential retreat will offer time for prayer, reflection, creative expression, and discussion.
*Includes one-night stay in a private room, breakfast and lunch on Wednesday. Our time together will begin with a social on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
Please register by November 25.
After receiving your registration, you will receive a confirmation email from us which will include your invoice. We never want our retreat costs to be prohibitive to anyone who wants to attend our programs, so we are pleased to offer scholarships. Fill out our simple scholarship request form now!
