Come join us for a lively discussion about a very remarkable holy woman – a Benedictine nun for 65+ years, educator, poet, director for lay oblates, campus minister, world traveler, writer, and extraordinary mentor and friend to so many, including Wangari Maathai, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient. Sr. Thomasita epitomized the rule of St. Benedict: PRAYER, LECTIO, GOOD WORKS, SCRIPTURE, and COMMUNITY. Her life’s work lives on in her numerous writings, her Benedictine family which she loved, and all those who knew her.
Presented by Connie Anderson, ObSB
Connie Anderson is a Benedictine Oblate and long-time volunteer of Keeler Women’s Center. For many years, she served as our volunteer receptionist once per week and later became an Easy English program tutor. Most recently, she has become a presenter for our Holy Women Series.
