Registration is limited to 15.
After two years of quarantine, you are invited to join us in person at Mount St. Scholastica for a journey of contemplation, simplicity, and silence. Inspired by Christine Valters Paintner’s book, “Earth, Our Original Monastery: Cultivating Wonder and Gratitude through Intimacy with Nature,” there will be scheduled and unscheduled opportunities throughout the week to cultivate wonder and gratitude through intimacy with nature. In addition to your own personal copy of Christine’s book, you will also have access to other tools to enhance your individualized retreat experience (e.g., spiritual direction and prayer with the sisters). This could be a rich time to deepen your connections with God, creation, the Mount, and yourself.
After you submit your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available, and if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at We strongly encourage you to add to your email contacts, to ensure the delivery of important information relevant to your retreat. We look forward to welcoming you at Sophia Center!
