Sister Frances taught in elementary schools in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.  She later became certified as a licensed practical nurse and registered nurse and worked in health care at the monastery and at Stormont Vail in Topeka. 

In her retirement, she helped with hospitality at the Mount.  She enjoys painting and displayed some of her work at the Atchison Art Fair. She currently resides in Dooley Center.
