Following Ignatius of Loyola’s understanding that life is a journey, Kevin O’Brien, SJ, in his book, Seeing with the Heart: A Guide to Navigating Life’s Adventures, says: “If we persist on the journey, with its signposts in the form of questions, we might discover something remarkable: this God whom we seek and question is actually seeking us more.”

We invite you to join us to be part of a small, intimate group of fellow seekers who are looking to have their everyday life “transformed by a better understanding of who you are and what you are called to be, as well as by a closer relationship with God and others.” In this two-part series that will include spiritual questioning, sharing, and growth in our relationship with God and others, we will be using O’Brien’s book Seeing with the Heart as our guide to do just that. We will meet for an hour each week for 4 weeks in November, then we will break until the new year and meet again for 4 weeks in February to complete the series. This group will be highly contemplative yet will also emphasize group sharing of one’s spiritual experiences. We will end each weekly session with a group prayer.

Important to note: We ask that you register only if you are able to commit to these regular gatherings, complete the readings, and share your faith journey. With the limited size of our group, attendance, and participation will be key.

Please register by October 24 to ensure you receive a copy of the book in time to begin reading. Once we have received your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available; if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at sophia@mountosb.org. We strongly encourage you to add sophia@mountosb.org to your email contacts to ensure the delivery of emails regarding your retreat.
