Join us for a guided meditation and reflection based on the forty days and nights that Jesus spent in self-examination as he prayed and fasted in the desert. During that time he was tempted by the devil, yet resisted every enticing offering because he had totally surrendered his life to the will of the most high God. This story reminds us that Jesus is our model. He lived a life of faith, honestly scrutinizing his experiences, and making choices based on prayerful discernment. Jesus valued deeply his personal ministry in building the Kingdom. How do we see our own role and participation in that same kingdom-building ministry?

 

Our time together will include a scripture reading, guided meditation, quiet reflection time, and sharing.
