CANCELLED November 11-12, 2022 | Friday 4:00 p.m.—Saturday 4:00 p.m. CST

Facilitated by Mary Kay Whitacre and Debbie Carmody
Cost: $150 (includes one-night stay in private room, dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday)

What got you through the long months of the pandemic? How were you surprised? Were there new discoveries that brought you joy? This will be an opportunity to experiment with a number of contemplative practices that emerged during the pandemic to help center us in the chaos, re-focus our energy, and lift our spirits. Whether these pursuits feel familiar and comfortable to you, or perhaps pose a new creative challenge, take time to reflect on how you want to be with God in the months ahead. Remind yourself how God walked with you during this tough time and the blessings you discovered. Our time together will be prayerful, playful, interactive, and creative.

Please register by November 1. Once we have received your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available; if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at sophia@mountosb.org. We strongly encourage you to add sophia@mountosb.org to your email contacts to ensure the delivery of emails regarding your retreat.

Debbie Carmody is retired after 28 years in pastoral ministry at Good Shepherd Parish in Shawnee, Kansas. She has a master’s degree in Religious Education from Loyola—New Orleans.

Mary Kay Whitacre is a 2005 graduate of Souljourners and has been on the Souljourners staff since 2005.  She has worked in pastoral ministry in the Catholic Church for more than 40 years. She has a master’s degree from Seattle University and has recently received her Doctor of Ministry from Seattle University.  Mary Kay is Associate Director of Souljourners and does spiritual direction, supervision, and leads a variety of retreats.
