“The Father spoke one Word, which was His Son, and this Word He speaks always in eternal silence, and in silence must it be heard by the soul.” —Saint John of the Cross

Join us for a soulfully rich experience of silent consent to the presence and action of God in the deepest center of your being. This is a silent, integrated retreat providing several periods of Centering Prayer and Welcoming Prayer along with ample time for walking, reading, journaling, rest, and prayers with the monastic community of Mount St. Scholastica.

Persons with experience in centering prayer and/or welcoming prayer, as well as those new to these prayer methods, are welcome. For newcomers, an introductory overview of both centering prayer and welcoming prayer will be offered.

This retreat is being offered in partnership with Contemplative Outreach of Kansas City.

You are encouraged to register early as space is limited. Please register no later than February 19. Once we have received your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available; if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at sophia@mountosb.org. We strongly encourage you to add sophia@mountosb.org to your email contacts to ensure the delivery of emails regarding your retreat.
