A Contemplative Retreat with Julian of Norwich (on-site)

October 15-16, 2024 | Tuesday, 7:00 p.m.-Wednesday, 3:30 p.m. CDT

Facilitated by Renee Neff-Clark

Cost: $175

Julian of Norwich was an Anchorite in England beginning in 1390 CE and was the first known woman to write in English. That work, entitled Revelations of Divine Love, continues to be published, studied, and read by people today.

We invite you to join with others in learning about Julian and her beautiful and timeless Revelations of Divine Love. We will begin the retreat on Tuesday evening by learning a bit about Julian’s life and times and through discussing some of the themes in the book.  On Wednesday we will look at specific passages and use them as a guide for individual contemplation, group sharing, and prayer.

An evening social will be held on Tuesday, from 6-7:00 p.m. Please plan to join and meet your fellow retreatants.

Please register by October 7. Once we have received your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available; if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at sophia@mountosb.org. We strongly encourage you to add sophia@mountosb.org to your email contacts to ensure the delivery of emails regarding your retreat.

Renee Neff-Clark has a degree in Religious Studies and has been a student of the Bible and a leader of Bible Studies throughout her life. The stories of women in Scripture have always held a special place in her heart, as they represent and reflect the lives of all women, both then and now. Although recently moved to Arizona, Renee continues to share her love of scripture and poetry with us.
