This question comes up when a parent or elder relative dies leaving a home which no one in the family can buy or wants. Mount St. Scholastica has received houses as part of a person’s will.  This gift helps the family by taking the responsibility of selling the property off the family. Our community can sell the home and put the money into our ministries or community needs. Many decisions of this type need to be made when a loved one dies.  If you can help your loved ones make out a will concerning their property, these decisions will be much easier when the time comes to settle the estate.
