Sister Suzanne Fitzmaurice

I grew up in Omaha, Ne, the youngest of seven children. I  was always active in my faith and participated in parish life and  retreat ministry and was nationally trained as a youth minister. After graduating from Creighton University with degrees in Elementary Education and Ministry, I moved to Houston, Tx, and worked throughout the south as an area director with the Jesuit Volunteer Corp and then as a Director of Youth Ministry. When I began exploring religious life, I was drawn to the chant of the liturgy of the hours at the Mount and entered in 1998. Since being at the Mount, I taught and was campus minister at Notre Dame de Sion High School and then went on to receive my Masters in Theological Studies at the Franciscan School of Theology. I returned to teaching at Cristo Rey in Kansas City before moving over to Keeler Women’s Center where I am currently the associate director.
