I grew up in Lenexa, Kansas, in a large family of 9 children, one of whom died as an infant. I entered Mount St. Scholastica right after high school in 1963. Benedictine sisters taught me all through grade and high school, and my teachers always seemed happy. I wanted to be like them. I worked in pastoral ministry for 20 years in the Kansas City area. After 12 years as sub-prioress of the community, I have worked as a staff member of Sophia Center. I am the Director of Souljourners and Coordinator of the Oblate Directors of the Mount. I also serve on the Community Council, do spiritual direction, and offer retreats. In my free time, I like to make comfort crosses.
