Sister Marilyn Schieber (Rita Marie)
I was born to John and Rita (Teson) Schieber in Maryville Missouri, the second child and eldest daughter of their eleven children. I grew up on a farm near Clyde, Missouri, attending St. Benedict’s Grade School in Clyde and Jefferson High School in Conception Junction, Missouri. Following high school graduation, at age seventeen, I joined the Benedictine Sisters in Atchison who were my teachers in grade school. I graduated from Benedictine College with a degree in Elementary Education and earned a degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans. I taught in elementary schools for over twenty years in Kansas and Missouri, then worked in parishes as pastoral minister for over 20 years. I am most content any time I can help someone and be of service to others.
