Sister Margaret Ann La Capra

I was born February 13, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo. When I was three,  my mother passed away; so my brother, sister and I went to live with my aunt and uncle and their 5 children on a farm in Mercier, near Horton, Ks.

I was taught by the Benedictine Sisters from elementary grades through high school and college. I entered the community in 1950 and spent most of my years teaching.  I also spent 8 years as Registrar at Donnelly College.  I returned to the Mount and worked as disburser of goods and helped with medical health insurance. After some health problems, I began to work in Dooley Center pastoral care and in its chapel.
In 2018 I retired to become a resident of Dooley Center and continued chapel work until March 2020 when the COVID virus stopped our regular life.  I turned 90 in February.
