While Sister Irene has retired from teaching at the college level and editorial pursuits, she remains a prolific author. Her works include Sing a New Song:  The Responsorial Psalm in the Sunday Liturgy; Women in the Old Testament; Pleading, Cursing, Praising:  Conversing with God through the Psalms, Sarah & Hagar: Women of Promise and, most recently, Wisdom: The Good Life – all published by Liturgical Press – along with 101 Questions and Answers on Angels and Devils,  published by Paulist Press. Along with her many commentaries on the scriptures, she was a member of the Committee on Illuminations and Texts for the Saint John’s Bible.
