Sister Bettina Tobin

Sister Bettina ministered for many years as an elementary and secondary teacher in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Colorado.  She taught art, English, and home economics at LeBlond High School, as well as at Mount St. Scholastica Academy, where she also served as prefect.  She spent several years as a missionary in Brazil.  After returning to the U.S., she worked in the tea room and gift shop in the Mount Community Center, and for some years was a Benedictine presence in the town of Alma.

Upon retiring, she lent her talents to sewing and crafts in the monastery.  She currently lives in Dooley Center.
