Praying and Painting With the Saints (on-site)

  • by

October 28 | Thursday 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. CDT

Facilitated by Rev. Mary Donovan
Cost: $75 (includes materials and lunch)
As we approach All Saints’ Day, this workshop offers an opportunity to reverence a saint we especially appreciate by the meditative prayer of making sacred art. Using the language and tradition of the Christian art of icons, participants will use gold leaf and acrylics to create a small illuminated painting to take home with them. All materials are covered by the retreat cost and will be provided for you. No prior painting experience is necessary.
Please register by October 25. Once we have received your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available, and if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at We strongly encourage you to add to your email contacts, to ensure the delivery of important information relevant to your retreat, which you can expect to receive in the week prior. We look forward to welcoming you to Sophia!
