S. Mary Elizabeth Schweiger

 

Mary Elizabeth Schweiger, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine community in Atchison, Kansas. She serves as a staff member at Sophia Center and director of the Souljourners program. She received a Master's degree in Theology from St. John's in Collegeville, Minnesota, and an MA in Christian spirituality from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, with certification as a spiritual director. She currently serves on the monastic council for the Mount.

 

 

 

 

Mary Kay Whitacre is the assistant director of the Souljourners program. She has worked in pastoral ministry in the Catholic Church for 35 years.  Mary Kay received an MA from Seattle University and her undergraduate degree from Avila University, Kansas City, Missouri.  A 2005 graduate of Souljourners, Mary Kay received her spiritual direction certificate.  She has been in a life-giving marriage for over 30 years and is a proud mother of two independent young adults.  As a practicing spiritual director and supervisor, she is personally cultivating a spirituality for the second half of life.

 

 

 

S. Micaela Randolph

 

Micaela Randolph, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, Ks. She serves as a staff member at Sophia Center and of Souljourners, a program of spiritual formation and skill building for those training to become spiritual directors. Micaela earned an MA in Christian spirituality and a certification in spiritual direction from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  

 

 

 



S. Marcia Ziska

Marcia Ziska, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, Ks.  Currently, she serves her community as vocation minister and is on staff for Souljourners.  A member of the Association of Professional Chaplains since 1985, her clinical pastoral certification is from Bethany Medical Center, Kansas City, Ks. She earned an MA and certification in spiritual direction from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, in 1990 and a certificate in spiritual gerontology from the Johnson Institute in 2008.

 

 

 

 

Evelyn Gregory, OSB, is a member of the Benedictine community of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, Ks.  She studied theology at Aquinas Institute and earned an MA in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, with certification as a Spiritual Director.  She currently is involved in ministry as a spiritual director, retreat director, oblate director and staff person in the Souljourners program.

 

 

 

 

 


Mary Pat Johnson, SCL, is a member of the Sisters of Charity in Leavenworth, Kansas.  She received a BA in theology from the University of St. Mary, Leavenworth, Kansas; an MA in religious studies from Gonzaga University, and an MA in Christian spirituality with a certification in spiritual direction from Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska. Presently, Mary Pat is director of mission at Christo Rey High School, Kansas City, Missouri. Other topics of interest for Mary Pat are Jungian psychology, dreamwork, Christian contemplative meditation, and Vincentian spirituality.
