“The Father spoke one Word, which was His Son, and this Word He speaks always in eternal silence, and in silence must it be heard by the soul.” —Saint John of the Cross

This Good Friday Retreat is intended to offer retreatants an opportunity to lovingly, humbly, reverently place themselves at the foot of Jesus’ cross in silent homage, adoration, and wonder. The day will be spent alternating between gathering times on Zoom and centering prayer practice. In order to maintain a spirit of silence when we come together, retreatants will be asked to simply listen and silently, privately reflect on the selected readings. Retreatants may want to have a Bible handy, as well as a journal for personal reflection.

This retreat is being offered in partnership with Contemplative Outreach of Kansas City.

Please register by April 3. Once we have received your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available; if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at sophia@mountosb.org. We strongly encourage you to add sophia@mountosb.org to your email contacts to ensure the delivery of emails regarding your retreat.

Rev. Rob Carr has represented Contemplative Outreach Kansas City as a centering prayer presenter and retreat leader since 2002. He also has been active in leadership with the Academy for Spiritual Formation for 15 years and is a graduate of the Souljourners program.
