Join us as we study Pope Francis’ third encyclical, Fratelli Tutti: On Fraternity and Social Friendship. In his first encyclical, the Holy Father calls people of faith to know intimately and live in the joy of the gospel. His second encyclical challenges the world to care for all of creation. In Fratelli Tutti, he invites all people to treat each other as brothers and sisters and to cultivate what he calls a “culture of encounter.” He calls us to care for one another by using dialogue, nonviolence, and respect when we experience differences with others. The entire world watched Pope Francis put this into practice when he met with Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, a revered religious leader of Muslims in Iran, to spend time discussing how they can assure the safety of Christians in that country. During our reading of Fratelli Tutti, we will reflect upon and discuss this call and its meaning within our own lives.

Please note that you will need a copy of Fratelli Tutti. Although there will be some presentation time during our gatherings, this is primarily a discussion group, so it will be key to our success that reading is done ahead of time, so all can fully benefit from our conversations. Questions and a guide for each session will be provided ahead of time. A Zoom meeting link will be emailed to you the day prior to each session.  We look forward to seeing you online.

As a free-will offering, no payment is required, but we are grateful for any amount contributed, if you are able. Click here if you would like to contribute now.
