SUMMARY:Ash Wednesday
DESCRIPTION:Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent\, inviting reflection and renewal for all. The ashes remind us of our humanity — “Remember that you are dust\, and to dust you shall return” — urging us to reflect on life’s fragility and the chance for growth. Whether you’re part of a faith community or simply seeking personal transformation\, this tradition is for everyone. The ashes symbolize humility\, renewal\, and the opportunity to live with purpose and kindness. You’re invited to pause\, reflect\, and grow — together. \n\n\n\nPhoto: Did you know\, the ashes for Ash Wednesday come from the palms of the previous Palm Sunday? \n\n\n\nAshes will be available to receive after both masses on March 5th-7:45 am mass in the Choir Chapel\, and the 11:15 am in the St. Lucy Chapel.\n\n\n\nGuests\, please use the Dooley Center entrance.

SUMMARY:The Feast of St. Joseph\, Husband of Mary
DESCRIPTION:Today\, we honor St. Joseph\, the husband of Mary and the earthly father of Jesus. Known for his humility\, faith\, and dedication to his family\, St. Joseph is a model of quiet strength\, integrity\, and selflessness. Though not often in the spotlight\, his role in the Holy Family is foundational\, showing us the power of love and responsibility in the face of uncertainty. \n\n\n\nToday is an opportunity to reflect on his virtues and how we can embody his example in our own lives. It’s about honoring the importance of family\, community\, and working with integrity\, while also recognizing that we all have a role to play in the stories of those around us.

SUMMARY:The Feast of St. Benedict
DESCRIPTION:Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Benedict\, the patron saint of Europe and founder of the Benedictine order. His rule\, emphasizing prayer\, work\, and hospitality\, has inspired generations to live lives of balance\, faith\, and service. St. Benedict’s message reminds us of the importance of seeking God in the everyday\, finding peace through simplicity\, and building strong\, loving communities. \n\n\n\nOn this feast day\, let us reflect on the wisdom of his teachings and how we can bring more peace\, joy\, and love into our lives and the lives of those around us. May we\, like St. Benedict\, strive to live with intention\, humility\, and devotion\, seeking God in all things.

SUMMARY:The Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord
DESCRIPTION:The Annunciation of the Lord marks the moment when the angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would conceive Jesus. This moment of profound faith\, trust\, and obedience reminds us of the power of saying “yes” to life’s unexpected calls. Mary’s willingness to embrace her role in the divine story serves as an example of courage and openness to the unknown. \n\n\n\nWhile this day is rooted in Christian tradition\, the message of the Annunciation resonates with all of us. It’s about being open to new possibilities\, trusting in ourselves\, and having faith in the journey ahead — even when it seems daunting. Whether you celebrate religiously or simply reflect on the themes of hope\, trust\, and acceptance\, the Annunciation reminds us that we all have a part to play in the world around us.
