February 23 | Wednesday 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. CST
Calligraphy, or beautiful writing, is an ancient practice which made its way into the monasteries of Europe. Join us in contemplating scripture more deeply through this art form as we write out selections from the Bible. In this workshop, you will learn about the unique brushes, pens, and art paper used, as well as explore the dramatic fonts and classic styles of calligraphy. We will begin with warm-up sheets on which to practice and then progress onward. You will leave this workshop with your own work of art. All supplies will be provided, and no prior experience with or knowledge of calligraphy is required.
Please register by February 11. Once we have received your registration, we will send you an invoice for the retreat. Please know we have scholarships available; if you would like to make a request, email S. Carol Ann at email@example.com. We strongly encourage you to add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email contacts to ensure the delivery of emails regarding your retreat. We look forward to welcoming you in person.
