We the Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica want to support all efforts to end war, especially in the Holy Land.
“How many lives will it take? How often must we bear witness to the senseless killing of African Americans by the police? Where is the collective voice of our religious communities, African American organizations, and Church?”
The Sisters will pray, as well, for those impacted by this ruling as we continue to serve all those in need and welcome all as Christ.
It is vital that people of all races, economic status and location be able to cast their ballots safely and securely in every election, without any manner of political interference.
As Benedictine monastic women, we are rooted in Gospel values of peace and nonviolence. Our Benedictine way of life requires us not only to be people of peace but also to advocate for peace in the world around us.
We as Benedictines take a stand against any and all expressions of racism and white supremacy, beginning with the racial, cultural, and class disparities in our nation.
As Benedictine monastic women, we stand united in a 1500‐year tradition, rooted in Gospel values of peace and non‐violence.
