Maria Repp was born in Friedritt, Germany, June 1, 1900, one of eight children born to Helena Pfenning and Kanut Repp. She is survived by a sister, Nelda Hartmann, Germany, and by many nieces and nephews and their children in the United States, Germany, and Canada and by her monastic community. Sister Borgia emigrated to the U.S. in 1927, professed triennial vows May 9, 1929, and made final profession July 6, 1932. She became a U.S. citizen in 1940, and was able to enjoy trips to Germany and to Canada to visit her relatives. They sent 100 roses when she celebrated her 100th birthday last year.

A friend to her sisters and their mentor by the example of her life, Sister Borgia spent her years of active ministry in housekeeping and cooking. Above all, she prayed. She gave her service of domestic work at Maur Hill, St. Benedict's College, Mount St. Scholastica College, Effingham, Mercier, Kansas City, St. Benedict (Seneca, RR 1), Paxico, Frankfort and Argentine, KS; Monroe City and Maryville, MO; and Dawson, NE.

Let us remember her gratefully in our prayers.
