Classical pianist performs at the Mount April 3
Victor Goldberg presentation is part of Concerts at the Mount series
Victor Goldberg, a Russian-Israeli classical pianist based in the United States, will perform at Mount St. Scholastica at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3, in St. Scholastica Chapel at the monastery.
Tickets for the concert are $12 at the door; concertgoers are asked to enter through St. Cecilia’s north door.
Goldberg has performed across the United States and around the world, including solo performances at Carnegie Hall, Aspen Music Festival and Lincoln Center as well as with the Orquestra Sinfonica de Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain; the Wonju Philharmonic in Seoul, South Korea; the Herzliya Chamber Orchestra in Hadera, Israel; and the Manila Symphony Orchestra in the Philippines. He received the Pro Musicis International Award in 2008, amongst other honors.
The pianist studied at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, the Manhattan School of Music, The Julliard School and Rubin Academy of Tel Aviv University.
Goldberg’s performance is part of the Concerts at the Mount series which began in 2012 to fill a gap in concert offerings created when the Atchison Community Concerts Association ceased to exist.
