Red Plains Spirituality Center
728 Richland Road, SW,
Piedmont, Oklahoma 73078

On March 21, 2009, the sisters from Red Plains Monastery in Piedmont, Oklahoma, transferred to the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica in Atchison, Kansas. The former ministries of Red Plains Monastery, retreats, educational workshops and spiritual direction, will continue under the title of Red Plains Spirituality Center.
Sister Anne Shepard, prioress of Mount St. Scholastica, expressed her community's feelings about the merger. "As Benedictines, these sisters have many commonalities with us. We both value communal and private prayer. We both value community-building both within the walls of the monasteries and among the people we serve. We both have a history of having sisters study and teach spirituality, theology and pastoral ministry, as well as having a strong commitment to social justice. We are blessed to have them join us. (Read the entire October 28, 2008, press release announcing the merger.)

A prayer card is sent to the individual letting them know that the Sisters are praying for their intentions. Email or call us at 405.373.4565, giving us the name of the individual you wish us to remember in prayer. We shall then mail you a card, to which you may add your personal note.
