Sisters Win Ribbons at Atchison County Fair

Sister Frances Yarc won a blue ribbon in the professional watercolor category.

Sister Mary Grosdidier won a blue ribbon on her crocheted baby afghan
and a red ribbon for her crocheted afghan.

Sister Mary Ethel Burley won a blue ribbon for her Christmas napkin
and coaster display.

Sister Jeanne Marie Blacet won a blue ribbon on her “Warm and Cozy
Wishes” wall hanging and a red ribbon on her “Let There Be Peace” cross
stitch. She had two other entries that won white ribbons. Her category
was persons over 90 years of age and she is 96.

Sister Laura Haug captured the blue grand champion prize for her
knitted baby sweater and hat.

Sister Gertrude Nagel won a blue ribbon for her copper tooling art,
a red ribbon for her recycled note cards and a white ribbon for her
pressed flower craft.
