Threshold Winter 2007
From the Development Director
You help us in countless ways . . .
You, our friends, relatives and benefactors, continue to bless us with your support, concern and generosity. Your gifts of time, talent, and treasure helped us hold a very successful Night of Dreams fundraising event which generated needed funds for our ministries of education and services to the people of Atchison and the outlying areas. Our 12 member volunteer development advisory board worked with us for months to make this event such a success.
One of our ministries, Keeler Women’s Center in Kansas City, Kansas, is expanding and moving to a new location. The services have outgrown the space provided by Donnelly College and the new location at the Catholic Charities building in Kansas City Kansas will be a wonderful opportunity to refer clients to the many services they offer. The Keeler Women’s Center operates with the help of about sixty volunteers who work there on a regular basis.
Our oblates also share our Benedictine way of life with us. Joining us regularly for prayer, and living the Benedictine values, they offer their lives in service to God and others. They assist in expanding the Benedictine charism in the world.
Thank you for partnering with us. We are committed to being a Benedictine presence in Atchison and in all the areas where we live and work.
Thank you for helping us in so many ways with your encouragement and support year after year.
May God bless each of you with joy and peace in this New Year.

The Mount Legacy Society
The Mount Legacy Society, started in May, 2007, is an honorary organization to recognize and thank donors who have remembered the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica as beneficiary of a planned gift. Planned gifts include wills, bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, life insurance and other estate plans. The Mount Legacy Society members assist the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica to continue their presence and work for the people of God in Atchison and the surrounding area. These gifts also assist in the care of our senior sisters.
It is a privilege and honor for the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica to be named as a beneficiary in your gift planning. Thank you for considering such a gift. For information, you are invited to contact
