"You Are Modern Day Magdalenes"
- Archbishop Joseph Naumann

by Bridget Dickason, OSB

On April 10, 2010, Archbishop Joseph Naumann, of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, visited Mount St. Scholastica for morning prayer, Mass and a reception. Blizzard conditions had kept him away on his original date of December 26th to visit the Mount. Easter joy was still in the air as we celebrated the close of the Octave of Easter Week. Archbishop Naumann thanked the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica for their 147 years of service in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. He was also introduced for the first time to the new members of the community who came from Red Plains.
