Threshold Summer 2007
From the Development Director:
A Year of Blessings!
We thank God for you and all the good help you give us! You, our relatives, friends and benefactors have helped us by contributing your time, talent, and treasure so that together we continue our Benedictine presence and work in Atchison and surrounding areas. Together we were able to hold a very successful Night of Dreams in November, 2006, in order to fund our ministries to the poor and to complete the renovation of our Dooley Center. This has been a very blessed year for us and, hopefully, for you also. In this issue you will find our annual report of the total donations received, how the donations were used, and a listing of our donors for the calendar year 2006.
In gratitude for your kindness to us, we pray for you and your intentions daily in our Liturgy of the Hours. Each Wednesday our community Eucharist is offered for you and your loved ones. To request prayers you may call me at 913-360-6215 or request prayers on our web site. Please know that we have no greater way to thank you than to hold you and your loved ones in our prayers.

The Mount Legacy Society
The Mount Legacy Society, established in May of 2007, is an honorary organization to recognize and thank donors who have remembered the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica as beneficiary of a planned gift. Planned gifts include wills, bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, life insurance and other estate plans. The Mount Legacy Society members assist the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica to continue their presence and work for the people of God in Atchison and the surrounding area. Your gift also assists in the care of the elderly sisters.
As a member of this society you will be invited to join the sisters for prayer and dinner annually. You will be remembered in the daily prayers of the sisters in the Liturgy of the Hours and the celebration of the Eucharist each Wednesday. Your name will be listed in Threshold under The Mount Legacy Society and you will not need to attend any meetings. You may be a member of The Mount Legacy Society and request that your name not be published in Threshold and still be included in other aspects of The Mount Legacy Society.
A wealth of information is on our web site about planned giving. New articles are added each month on the pages with the articles.
It is a privilege and honor for the Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica to be named as a beneficiary in your gift planning. Thank you for considering such a gift.
