Pictures of Dooley Center Renovation -
(not so) New and (greatly) Improved!

The community gathered to bless the new living and dining areas
in November, 2005. Sisters Rosemary Bertels, Linda Herndon,
Fran Cross, Honora Eisenbeis, and Brendan Fry join in the prayer
for the dining area and for those who will eat and serve there.

Before the renovation, nurses and sisters had little elbow room during meals.
When the dishes were cleared away, the same area doubled for their other activities.
The new dining area is large, bright and inviting.

Sister Mary Paul Ege, former English teacher and editor, finds plenty of sunny spots in which to examine the newspaper.

Sister Rosemary Quint and Louella Torres, mother of Sister Theresa Torres,
relax in the new sitting area.

Nurses Karen Servaes and Sister Sylvia Kenkel now work in the middle of things, no longer from behind an institutional nurse ’s station counter.

Life goes on amid the construction.
