The Mount Conservatory of Music
Situated in the heartland of America, on the Mount St. Scholastica
campus, housed in an aesthetic Victorian Mansion, the Mount Conservatory
of Music brings the people of Atchison and its surrounding communities
in touch with the beauty of music. Students from Atchison, St. Joseph,
Missouri, and many surrounding rural areas study piano, organ, harp,
strings, voice, woodwinds, and brass. An electronic piano lab is available
as well.
Monthly recitals are scheduled for student performances. In addition,
a special recital is held during the Christmas season and an Honors Recital
in the spring. The Conservatory also hosts the Community Concert program
in Atchison.
