The Keeler Women's Center

This week's mail brought a suprise! We received a package of two small boxes from Cary North Carolina, each containing a beautiful pair of handmade earrings. Each box also contained a typed scripture quote from Isaiah 43: 1 - 5a, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you."

The note to the Center explaining the package is attached.

What a wonderful example of women helping women, women reaching out in support of ane another. We are grateful! It brightened our day to know that our work is recognized and our mission is shared. I can't begin to think how the women who will receive the earrings will feel. We are praying to know exactly who will need the earrings, and the prayers, most. Our prayers are for our generous benefactors, all of you. We remember you in prayer each day


The following are on-going needs:

• Plants
• Hospitality needs, including:creamer, sugar,
  cookies, pretzels, candy, etc.
• Pretty napkins
• Nice "give-aways" – small things to give to women who attend our programs – especially needed for women from the shelters are toothbrushes, lotion, shampoo, etc.
• Kleenex and paper towels
• Subscriptions to magazines such as Parenting, Working Mother, Spanish language magazines, etc.
• Babysitters for events
• Transportation for events
• Monetary donations for events and resources--make all donations payable to Mount St. Scholastica for the Keeler Women’s Center or for their Ministry Fund
• Volunteers - see the volunteer page
• Referrals of professionals who might offer services for women – especially legal aid, doctors, dentists, counselors, mentors, marketing, grant writers, tutors, etc.
• Leads on individuals and organizations that might like to partner with us or support our efforts through donations
