St. Scholastica College Graduate, Wangari Maathai, Wins 2004 Nobel
Peace Prize
The Benedictine Sisters of Mount St. Scholastica join the rest of
the world in congratulating Wangari Maathai, winner of the 2004
Nobel Peace Prize. She graduated from Mount St. Scholastica College
(now Benedictine College) in 1964 with a degree in biological
sciences and continues to communicate with the sisters and to
praise her education.
