A Benedictine Medal on the International Space Station

Peg Whitson, commander of the International Space Station for Expedition 16 (October 10, 2007 - spring 2008), is the daughter of Sister Mary Ethel Burley's cousin. Last summer when Sister Mary Ethel was visiting with her family, she gave Peg a Benedictine medal to take with her on her six month stay on the space station. Peg sent this picture to us at the Mount so that we could see the Benedictine medal made it to the space station where she has attached it to one of the windows. Peg's message indicated that she hopes the sisters enjoy this unique view from space with the Earth below the Benedictine medal.
